Recently, I've been writing a lot. Not nessacarily anything in particular most times-- but sometimes it just helps me get my feelings out.
I also know Ana at shutter-fly connects pictures and words pretty well.
I thought I'd try to tie together writing and my pictures, maybe snap the barrier between them. yeah, now that I look at it- it's not even funny, just lame... yet I still keep it.
Shattered and splintered
Ripped from the seams.
Where do I go?
What can I do?
My heart beats softly
My mind still tangled.
Where do I go?
I do not know.
What can I do?
I'm still not sure.
Tie back the rope-
mended, yet still separated-
Continue down the road,
no need to worry.
No matter what path I take,
I'll always find my home

As you know, I'm not a big portrait person. Maybe it's that I'm not always confident in how I capture them. Hopefully I can start out slow and move upward from there- starting with my brother at the ski hill... "binding in" since he's a snowboarder. I'm expecting some flack for that comment- but I guess I just can't see myself enjoying boarding v. skiing.

Shadowplay.
Double feature. No reason, just felt like a little spontanuity.
If you haven't noticed, I've decided to tweak my layout a little. Recently I've had some thought about actually getting a hosting site, and move on a little from blogger. I don't really plan on it anytime in the near future, I just want more control over my settings and such. Hence reasoning to switch/fix a couple things (back to monthly archive, colors here and there etc.) Freshening up the place a little never hurt.
If you haven't noticed, I don't care too much for grain in my photography, but this one worked out.
Edit:
FYI, this is down by my lakeshore for those who misunderstood. I probably I should have had a little more size compraison on the rocks now that I think about it (the three center ones are actually huge boulders.)
