Landscaping rocks/boulders, lakeshore.

This was defiantely a little bit of a challange to make sure I'd only have steps away from the camera. One foot in front of the other.

Just off downtown Wayzata- which really isn't a downtown at all. Makes me wonder how exactly you'd go about moving the shed. I wish I would have been able to frame it a little better.

All I can think about when I see this is The Eagles- Desperado.
Downtown Wayzata, I got lucky- we got a day or two of sunshine :-D

Recently, I've been writing a lot. Not nessacarily anything in particular most times-- but sometimes it just helps me get my feelings out.

I also know Ana at shutter-fly connects pictures and words pretty well.

I thought I'd try to tie together writing and my pictures, maybe snap the barrier between them. yeah, now that I look at it- it's not even funny, just lame... yet I still keep it.

Shattered and splintered
Ripped from the seams.

Where do I go?
What can I do?

My heart beats softly
My mind still tangled.

Where do I go?
I do not know.
What can I do?
I'm still not sure.

Tie back the rope-
mended, yet still separated-

Continue down the road,
no need to worry.
No matter what path I take,
I'll always find my home

I decided I'm feeling a little orange. I have two more lined up, waiting to post.

I'm waiting to see if things'll work out with the other two; I'm looking to try something different. I guess you'll just have to check back tomorrow and see if I managed to work out my surprise.

Just caught my eye, not much to this one. What can I say, I'm easily amused- and yes, I like it that way.

It's still cold out.

Looks like some(one/thing) wasn't sure where to go or what to do. Symbolism and application to my life? I think so.

A little different ISO; once again, getting outta my 'comfort zone' and I kinnda like where it went. (F.Y.I. Calvin, it was about a 3-5 second exposure if I remember right.)

I know I missed a day or so. Been a little stressed lately... hopefully I'm starting to move on from it. One of my favorites lately, I just love extended exposures, that's all there is to it.

As you know, I'm not a big portrait person. Maybe it's that I'm not always confident in how I capture them. Hopefully I can start out slow and move upward from there- starting with my brother at the ski hill... "binding in" since he's a snowboarder. I'm expecting some flack for that comment- but I guess I just can't see myself enjoying boarding v. skiing.

I can't get enough of winter.

This is a little more abstract than I usually go for. Some work beforehand with just texture and light. After the shot-- just a little working and tweaks for added texture, contrast, and a little tint and hue change.

I love the snow, I wish we'd get some more... soon...

Shadowplay.

Double feature. No reason, just felt like a little spontanuity.

If you haven't noticed, I've decided to tweak my layout a little. Recently I've had some thought about actually getting a hosting site, and move on a little from blogger. I don't really plan on it anytime in the near future, I just want more control over my settings and such. Hence reasoning to switch/fix a couple things (back to monthly archive, colors here and there etc.) Freshening up the place a little never hurt.

If you haven't noticed, I don't care too much for grain in my photography, but this one worked out.

Edit:
FYI, this is down by my lakeshore for those who misunderstood. I probably I should have had a little more size compraison on the rocks now that I think about it (the three center ones are actually huge boulders.)

One of my DOF's that I surprisingly really liked. I guess just get this surreal dreamy feeling... anyway, I like it.

I figured the twigsicle picture hit a sad note, so I thought I'd toss in a couple uplifting pictures to kick off a nice new '06.

Dancing shadows.
